Volunteer Policy

Parent Participation

The Summerside Dolphins Swim Club is a volunteer-led organization, and the success of our program depends on the involvement of our families. Parent participation helps create a positive experience for our swimmers, supports club operations, and helps keep program costs manageable.

As a condition of registration, all families are expected to contribute to the club by:

• Officiating at SDSC-hosted swim meets
• Supporting club fundraising initiatives
• Participating in at least one volunteer role during the season

Volunteering is also an opportunity to become part of the SDSC community. It allows families to better understand the sport, support their swimmer's experience, develop new skills, and build connections with other club members.

When families are engaged, swimmers are more likely to feel connected, invested, and proud to be part of the team. Together, our volunteers help create the positive environment that allows SDSC swimmers to learn, grow, and succeed.

By registering with SDSC, families acknowledge and agree to meet the club's volunteer participation requirements.
